Our History at Franks

Frank's was founded in November, 1977 by Frank Palmeri and family, who moved to Asheville from Brooklyn, NY. The original location was in Insbruck Mall. By 1982 Frank moved the pizzeria to a location in front of the Asheville Mall and Sears. In 1998 Franks Pizza moved to it present location at 90 S. Tunnel Road across from Lowe's and Walgreens.Barry Gardner at Frank's Roman Pizza

Frank retired in 2001 and Barry Gardner (right) purchased the pizzeria. Barry, a long time employee of Frank's, has continued the tradition of making Frank's Pizza the first and finest NY Style pizzeria in WNC.
